Our Horses

Over the years, whilst trying to find safe suitable mounts for our five boys, we have managed to accumulate a number of horses and ponies that are educated, safe and reliable.   They all have their own personalities and have done many years of Pony Club and Interschool competitions.  We have only ever kept ponies that we knew would bring our boys home safely, no matter where they rode them!

Mintie Riding pony x welsh gelding. Mintie has been with our family since 2002. He has had many years of pony club and has been used by us for Equestrian vaulting competitions for our smaller competitors. Mintie is used to teach beginners on the lunge and progression to riding independently.

Benny @Bullet: Benny is a section A Welsh Mountain Pony Gelding who came to live with us in 2000. Benny has over 12 years at pony club and is used by our more experienced riders. At the NSW Pony Club State Sporting Championships in 2009, Benny recorded the fastest time in the heats of the bending race out of over 300 competitors.                                                                    

Candy has been with us since 1999 and has taught all our boys to ride off the lead, sport, hack and jump. She has carried the boys to junior point score victories at Pony Club ribbon days.            .

 

Fabian is a riding pony gelding who we purchased in 2008 for Declan to take to Pony Club. Fabian is Dressage educated and excels at providing confidence in the jumping disiciplines.  He too has done many years at Pony Club and is used to teach beginners on the lunge.

                 

  Maddie is an Australian Stock Horse who excels at sporting. Maddie has done many years of Pony Club and is used for our more advanced riders.

Willow is an Australian Stud Book Pony who stands 11.3 hands high.  Willow has lots of experience taking care of young riders and going to Pony Club.

Fairy is 13.2 hands high and is a Stud Book Pony like her paddock mate Willow.  Fairy is honest and reliable no matter what she is doing.

Alfie is a 16.2 hand Thoroughbred gelding.  Alfie has excelled at everything he has done including Showjumping, Pony Club, Vaulting and most importantly being a wonderfully patient teacher for riders and vaulters alike.  Alfie is the Patriarch of the horses at our home.

Harry

Ricky is a 13.2 hand Australian Riding Pony who is a whiz at horse soccer.  Ricky's inquisitive nature enables him to pick things up quickly which is great for his riders.

Toledo who stands at 14.3 hands is a black Riding Pony gelding.   Toledo excels at jumping and is a great confidence builder for  competent  riders who want to experience riding over fences.

Charm is a 14.2 grey mare of mixed breeding,  Quarter horse, Andalusian, Percheron.  Charm is great for riding lessons and is currently being trained for vaulting.

Ice is a Stock horse, 15.2 hands and chestnut in colour.  Ice is unflappable and wonderful for adults  learning to ride.
